F1 | Salesforce x McLaren

 

It's a good day when I get to combine my love for F1 and tech, and I got to do just that at the US GP in Austin.

At the start of the year, I read this report by Salesforce which highlighted that 99% of fans in this sport don't actually get to attend a GP in person each season. I don't know any other sport where that is the case but got me thinking about all the ways F1 (and the teams) are trying to bring the fans closer to the action - enter in tech partners like Salesforce.

The amount of data Salesforce captured and used over a race weekend will never not amaze me and I got to spend some time with them - one of the main tech providers for Formula 1 - and understand better how they help brands and companies with their customer journey and help them make sense of the data they collect and have at their disposal.

I worked with Salesforce to create a few pieces of content that were both educational about their partnership and the use of data in F1 and entertaining.
